Mike, I really appreciate that. Also from last week Richard Rohr meditation: “Creation itself is the first incarnation of Christ” comes to mind. The words and images of that song so resonate.

I agree with Dorothy that the loss of someone who gave our lives meaning and sustenance creates a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but if we truly trust in a benevolent God, we can be transformed and move on with gratitude for all forms of life, and awaken to joys we might have missed before the wound that brought us to our knees.

What a beautiful work of art. The figure of Jesus brings to mind the stance of an Eagle ready to sweep across the sky doing what it was created to do. I love how the Divinity of Jesus shines forth, marking a contrast with the human form, but making a statement that both are intrinsic. My response to looking at this work is "Yes, I believe."
